New parent celebrations

Baby Shower

A baby shower is typically held in the third trimester of pregnancy and is a celebration for the expectant parents, as they get ready for the arrival of their baby. Although less common, some parents now hold a baby shower after the birth of their baby, to allow the guests to meet their child.

A typical baby shower involves yummy food, baby-themed games and crafts. Guests usually bring gifts for the baby and expectant parents.

Gender Reveal Parties

Gender Reveal parties are an exciting way for expectant parents to discover the sex of their baby. This trend originates from the United States but has grown in popularity globally.
Unlike baby showers, gender reveal parties are typically held between 16-22 weeks of pregnancy and focus on the reveal itself, rather than gifts for the baby and expectant parents.
